etymology

The word "etymology" comes from the Greek word "etymologia", which is derived from the words "etymon", meaning "true sense" and "logos", meaning "word".

This blog is all about the history of words. Forget the "word of the day", this is the "history of the word of the day". Hopefully this will lead people to a better understanding of words in general, me included.
Also, I'm hoping to hold a bit of a competition once I'm established, where I put up a word and at the end of the week I publish the best uses of the word that people have submitted.
